Mike Loynd: “The spectacular opening ceremony of the IV Islamic Solidarity Games will be remembered for ever”

The opening ceremony of the "Baku-2017" of the IV Islamic Solidarity Games will be remembered for a long time. The first medallists of the Games will be known today. The competitions have been already started. I believe that the Azerbaijan athletes will also win medals.
These words were said by the head of operations for the IV Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee Mike Loynd at a press conference on May 13, 2017.
Mike Loynd expressed his gratitude to the Director of the Games ceremonies Catherine Uqvu and the artistic director Nathan Wright and noted that 35 thousand spectators watched with satisfaction the grand opening ceremony in the Baku Olympic Stadium.
The sports director of the IV Islamic Solidarity Games Operations Committee Mark Honeybun stressed that more than 400 athletes will represent Azerbaijan in the competitions.
