The wrestling hall was put into operation after renovation

The wrestling hall was put into operation at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports after a complete overhaul.

The opening of the hall was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov, President of the Azerbaijan Wrestling Federation Namig Aliyev, Rector of the Academy Fuad Hajiyev.

The wrestling hall with a total area of ​​402 m2 is equipped with special modern equipment to increase the physical endurance of students during training.

The wrestling hall is dedicated to the memory of the students' favorite, Professor Khanlar Gurbanov, who has been working at the Academy for many years. It should be noted that Khanlar Gurbanov was an international judge, Master of Sports of the USSR, Honored Coach of the Republic, International Judge, President of the Azerbaijan National Sports Association, Vice-President of the Olympic Academy, First Vice-President of the European International Zorkhana Confederation.
