Mansurov Farid Salman

Mansurov Farid was born in Dmanisi, Georgia in May 1982. His trainer is the honored sportsman Aligulu Hasanoghlu. He is the silver medalist of world championship among teenagers and the world champion of the youth (2002, Tashkent, Uzbekistan). He got the silver medal in world championship (2002, Russia). He is the winner of several “Gran-Prix” tournaments.

Farid Mansurov was the Olympic champion in Greek-Roman wrestling of XXVIII Summer Olympic Games in 66 kg weight category in 2004.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan nominated him to “the Prosperity” (“Tərəqqi”) order in 2002 and “the Glory” order (“Şöhrət”) in 2004.

He is a double world champion (2007 Baku, 2009 Herning, Denmark). He is the participant of Summer Olympic Games (2008, Beijing, China). He was nominated to the first place in “Gold Gran-Prix” (2009, Baku).

Farid Mansurov is the head trainer of the Azerbaijan national team in Greek-Roman wrestling.
