The winners of the essay contest "What Do I Know about Azerbaijan?" have been rewarded

The winners of the essay contest "What Do I Know about Azerbaijan?" among the young people from Kazakhstan, Jordan, Pakistan and Italy are in the visit to our country. The purpose of the visit is to create the conditions for the winners of the contest to get to know Azerbaijan more closely.
During the visit, the winners of the contest have been rewarded.
The Head of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva spoke at the event and noted that the scope of the contest, which has been held since 2011, is expanding annually. According to the Regulations approved by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, summer essay contest "What Do I Know about Azerbaijan?" among the young people from Kazakhstan, Jordan, Pakistan and Italy was held in 2018. The topics of the essay contest were: "Heydar Aliyev: National Leader of the Azerbaijan People", "Realities of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict", "Azerbaijan Democratic Republic", "Economic Development of Azerbaijan", "Azerbaijan's Oil and Gas Strategy", "History, Art and Culture of Azerbaijan", "The population of Azerbaijan, language, customs and religion", "The role of Azerbaijan in the international politics", "Azerbaijan and other countries: historical relations".
It was noted that the purpose of the contest is to promote the national cultural and historical heritage of Azerbaijan among the young people of foreign countries, to identify the young scientists and researchers from foreign countries, to study Azerbaijan and to raise awareness about Azerbaijan among the foreigners.

Finally, the winners of the contest were awarded with special diplomas and gifts from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
During the visit, which will last until August 20, the winners will visit the grave of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Alley of Martyrs, the Heydar Aliyev Center, the “Ateshgah Temple” State Historical-Architectural Reserve, the “Gala” Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum, the Gobustan Historical and Ethnographic Reserve, the Azerbaijan History Museum, the Carpet Museum, the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex and will be familiarized with the culture, history and traditions of Azerbaijan.
